Christ the King Lutheran Church is Christian community called to be God’s caretakers of the world. We support the plants and various other pollinators near our church by maintaining 25 honeybee colonies around Great Falls, Virginia. Starting with 2 small colonies on our Parsonage grounds in 2023our bee operation now includes three locations with 25 colonies that are cared for by a dedicated group of volunteers. We hope that our care of these colonies will create better forage for native pollinators and other species that rely on the seeds and fruits that will come from increased pollination success.
